WHITE COLLAR: POINT BLANK (SUMMER FINALE)
It is finally time for Neal to come face to face with Kate's murder... or not? The episode started off with Neal, Peter, and Mozzie playing with the music box to which reveals there is a hidden comb which they believe plays a secret meaning. This gets the wheels turning for Neal to try and get Alex to help them figure out what the hidden meaning was which leds Neal and Mozzie to an old friend who reveals that Alex isn't in Itlay like we were all to belive but she is stealing her own goods back. This makes her a super easy target for the autorites to step in, unless, Neal and Mozzie beat them to the punch to which they have to "con" the FBI.
This leads to Mozzie and Neal to make their own file to get Peter interested in Alex. Neal is able to produce a carbon-copy of everything that will make it look just like the original case file including that Hughes assistant signs his name on all paper work. The file catches Peter's eye and we're off!
Peter and Diana end up finding Fowler off an ATM transaction that reveals his alias which in turn helps them find out that Fowler bought the explosives that blew up the plane and killed Kate. While this is going on, Neal convinces Alex to break into Diana's apartment and steal the music box to which she agrees to do but barley escapes without getting caught. Peter ends up blaming Neal for having something to do with the music box being stolen and benches Neal from the case. Neal goes off and reconnects with Mozzie who is meeting with Akiro who is going to try to crack the music box's hidden comb. This leads to Mozzie going into a backroom leaving Neal to leave but not before grabbing a gun from the counter which is against Neal's normal character as he hates guns.
Peter and Diana stake out the museum knowing that Fowler will turn up at the museum due to the music box. Mozzie shows up at Neal's apartment to find that not only has Neal got his tracker anklet off (He stole the keys in "Prisoner's Dilemma") but he also has a gun. Mozzie reports this to Peter who informs Diana to be on the look out for Neal but of course, Neal is able to sneak past Diana (and Peter who is inside trying to get into the room with Fowler) where he is able to use his craftiness to swing on a cloth banner and crash into a window right into the room with Fowler.
Neal and Fowler have their stand off where Fowler confesses to his life being horrible since his own wife's murder. Peter and Diana are finally able to get into the room with Neal and Fowler. Fowler ends up confessing that the plan was for Neal and Kate to bail out over the water while the airplane exploded to fake their death to be "safe" but the bomb went off too soon but he doesn't know how. It's revealed that someone else is pulling the strings and that Fowler didn't kill Kate. He also states that Kate never called him while she was on the plane before it exploded as he wasn't dumb enough to put his name on something like that. Neal wants so hard to believe that Fowler killed Kate but it's not meant to be as Peter is able to convince Neal not to shoot Fowler which he agrees to and drops the gun.
Fowler, Peter, Neal, and Diana go back to the FBI building where it's revealed that the person that Fowler was set to meet a few episodes back in "Need to Know" was a former Special Forces personal in Julian Larson. Neal is sent home at this time where he pretty much breaks while Peter and Diana are called to the shop where Akiro has been murdered. The music box sound is playing along with old secutirty footage of Neal being shown on the monitor which leads Peter to think that Neal is next so they take off to Neals apartment. They break in the door in time to see Alex reaching into her purse and tell her to take her hand out of the purse but all she wanted to do was give her number to Neal.
Neal is informed of the situation with Akiro where he reveals he wasn't there alone... Mozzie is then shot by Julian Larson in the park who also takes something from Mozzie's jacket pocket. Mozzie is left laying on a park bench bleeding as we go to the credits.
January, are you here yet? White Collar will return with brand new episodes in January!
